It wasn’t the actual waterfall that amazed me, it was the view over the valley that blew me away. This small hike of mine wasn’t far but it was my first glimpse of the Slovenian Alps. It is views like these that got me addicted to travel the world.

Slap Boka is not the highest waterfall in Slovenia but with a height of 106 meters and a width of almost 20 meters it's pretty impressive! You can see the waterfall from the road but for a better view I recommend to take a walk or a the hike. There is one hike that will lead you all the way to the waterfall but chose to take the short walk to the wooden platform as it was late evening. The signs from the road say15 minutes but in reality it's only about a 10 minute walk. The platform is a great place to see the waterfall. I stood and admired the waterfall for a bit when I notied a path continuing even further uphill.
I followed he path and it’s definitely worth it, even though the path gets pretty demanding. I followed it for another 10 minutes and it can be slippery and steep at times so it's not for everyone. I didn’t reach the end of the path (I have no idea how far it is) but I reached another great viewpoint, this time over the Soca Valley in the light of the sunset. It was stunning!
